The weather is getting warmer and wetter. We haven't done much traveling since the last post but I will tell you what little we did.
We went to an Astros vs Giants baseball game. The giants won.
The trip was sponsored by the HOA and they took us to the game on busses. I didn't have to drive or find parking. With traffic, it took an hour and a half to get there. It was a good game. Leaving was a problem. We somehow lost one couple. We had to wait until they showed up. They eventually let our bus leave since the couple was on the other bus.
We went to the Kentucky Derby party at the clubhouse.
You can see Jan's derby hat in the lower left corner. The couple sharing the table with us is Rick and Carolyn. They live next door. There was betting on the race, but none of us won anything.
The mint juleps were free but not great. The mint was not very noticeable. There was also free beer, free margaritas and free food. Everyone had fun.
I ran out of space on the website and until I decide if I want to spend more money for more space or to start deleting old pictures, I can't add anymore pictures. That's too bad because we had a visitor. A doe left her fawn hiding by our front gate all day. We thought it might be in trouble and called some rescue places, but it turns out that this is a common occurrence. Does leave their fawns in protected places for the day and go off to feed. The fawn stayed there all day and left with mom in the night. I do have pictures, but I can't add them yet.
