On Thursday, Gayle and Jack came over to see the trailer.
They came over early and Jan showed them around the trailer. I stayed outside for most of it because 4 people moving around in the trailer is too much at one time.
Next, we sat outside and had drinks and snacks. It was a beautiful, sunny day and it wasn't too hot or too humid.
I let them sample all of my home brew, three of which were ready. The Breakfast Stout, the American Golden Ale, and the Salty Dog Sour were all pretty good. Those 3 covered a wide range of beer styles. Snacks were Chex Mix and Cheese and Prosciutto rolls (from Gayle and Jack).
At 6pm, we cruised down to the touristy district of Sarasota for the restaurant. This street was a little restaurant row with Gecko's Grill, Blasé Bistro and Martini Bar, The Elixir Tea House, Pazzo, Cafe Roma, and A Sprig of Thyme all right in a row.
A Sprig of Thyme is a small boutique French place. It seated about 10 tables inside and 2 outside. Only 3 people work there, the chef, the waiter, and a dish washer. The waiter says that they can only do one seating a day. Because we are in Florida, it specialized in French sea food. Jan had scallops, Jack had shrimp pasta, Gayle had grouper, and I had duck. It was great. If any of you readers make it to Sarasota, I recommend this place.
