There is not much to do in an offseason ski resort. The town of Angel Fire is in a valley. There are trees all over the mountains, but no trees in the valley, except for where someone planted one.
We went to Taos today. The pass between Angel Fire and Taos is over 9,000 feet. Popping ears is a constant occurrence.
Taos is a pretty place. You do have to like southwestern architecture and a color palette of red, pink, orange, and tan. It's also an artsy town. There are a lot of galleries and boutiques.
Kim, you would probably love it. A lot of art and a lot of horses.
We ate lunch downtown and I had a pecan beer. It seemed to be a amber ale with pecan flavor and aroma. It was pretty good.
Here is the downtown area.
Jan, here are the planter pictures you wanted.
Tomorrow, we leave for Bernardo, NM. The governor of New Mexico just declared that all visitors to New Mexico, no matter how they entered the state, must be in quarantine for 14 days. We may not be able to do much there. Texas may do the same. At least we will be there for more than 14 days.
