We left Florida in our review mirror.
You can tell by the picture that I need to wash the trailer. Those brown spots are squashed bugs.
I didn't post much about our last stop in Wildwood, so here goes.
Three Flats RV Resort was a pretty good park to stay in. We give it 7 out of 10. The spots are big and the roads are in good condition. It is also clean and it doesn't have people living there as a residence, just living there for the winter season. This way, it doesn't look like a cheap, run down mobile home park. We will probably stay here again when we come back to Florida.
Brie loved the dog park. It was big and had lots of dogs to play with. For the rest of the stay, she tried to pull us down to the dog park, even if that's not where we wanted to go.
It had lots of armadillo crossing signs and I think I saw one once when I took Porter out at 2:30am. It was either that or a possum. It was definitely not a raccoon or a rat. On one dog walking trip, we heard something rustling in the woods next to he park. I saw something black, about the size of Brie. Later, we met someone who said it was a bab, wild pig. Luckily, we didn't see the mother. That would have been bad with he dogs barking at it.
Wildwood is a small town with basically two streets. All the rest is a retirement community called The Villages. That place is the largest retirement housing development in Florida. It has it's own overpasses for all the golf carts. If you get off the main streets in Wildwood, you have to watch out for golf carts.
Since this was our last stop in Florida and we wanted to finally see a manatee. They are supposed to winter over in Crystal River with its hot springs. They don't like cold water so they migrate to the hot springs in the winter. We didn't see any though. It had been hot lately so they had moved out. It was also the weekend for the Manatee Festival in Crystal River. That meant lots of people on the waterfront and millions of boats on the river. Oh well.
