Day 4

We are completely out of the house now. This was my first full day in the trailer. I spent more time at the house over the past three days than I have at the trailer.

Tuesday:

The movers came. We got everything out of the house and in the storage unit. The movers were very good about fitting everything in. The most annoying part of the move was the storage unit. Normally, I enter through door D and take the elevator to the second floor. When we got there, door D was broken and locked. We had to go to the next door, door C. That door worked. Unfortunately, the door C elevator was broken. We had to wheel all our stuff back to door D where the elevator still worked. That was a lot of extra walking.

Wednesday:

The junk guys came. Everything that didn't fit in the trailer or the storage unit went in the junk truck. The junk guys came in a big truck and a pickup. Good thing too, because we filled the junk truck and had to out some stuff into the pickup.

Thursday:

This was suppose to be the easy day. All we had to do was show up at 11am to unlock the house and let the cleaners in. We got there on time, but no cleaners. Instead of sitting there waiting, we unlocked door and left to run some errands. We got back to the house at around 1pm. Our real estate agent bought the fire pit and chairs and we arranged for her to come pick it up at 1pm. The cleaners got there a few minutes before Carol (the real estate agent). We didn't want to sit around waiting for the cleaners so we left and ran more errands. At 3pm, the cleaners were still working. To make a long pointless story short, I came back at 4:30 and locked up the house.

The house is now empty and we are completely RV living.

Friday:

I actually stayed in the trailer all day. Here is a picture to prove it

This is the fishing pond with it's resident Canadian goose.

More to come.
