Daytona Beach Bike Week

We survived Bike Week!

That’s just the parking lot of the gas station.

They say that up to 300,000 people come to Daytona for bike week, but I don’t think that many showed up this year. There were bikes all over the place in certain spots. Where we stayed was off a road called Destination Daytona. It has a large Harley dealership, several motorcycle parts stores, some restaurants, and a pavilion for concerts. There were booths set up between that place and the river which is a couple of miles away. This was a big biker spot. Along each exit from the highway, all fields had places for tents and trailers. Daytona, near the race track was nuts too. Probably the worst place was the beach road. That’s where all the bike parades were.

Maybe it was COVID, but the pedestrian places were not that crowded. We walked around one spot, to see what they had. It was a lot of show bikes and a lot of bike upgrade tents. You could have anything done to your bike.

Like I said, the crowds were smaller than we expected, except for the covered pavilion, where the beer and food were.

Because it is a biker rally, it has to be sexist. Here is a picture of one of the beer sellers. Yes, she is almost naked, with just a thong and only stickers on her boobs. Most of the other beer sellers wore shorts, but they all wore just stickers.
