Fireflies

I attempted to take pictures of fireflies last night. I am definitely getting better. I get the fireflies in the shot now.

They blink as they fly so you can see the paths they take as dotted lines.

I need to work on this a little more. The sky is not the right color and if I do it right, I should get stars in the sky too. I think I need to change the white balance settings. It was dark out at 10:30pm and the only thing lighting up the grass and trees was the stars and nearby RV lights.

I read up on how the professionals do it, and they cheat. They put the camera on a tripod so they can get exactly the same landscape each time and then they take multiple shots. They use Photoshop to put them all together to show millions of lightning bugs in one shot.
