We have gone back to the redwoods for a week.
As you can see, it was raining. It poured all the time I was trying to set up camp. I was soaked when I finally got back in the trailer.
We will be back to Sacramento for the countertop install on October 27. They will come and make a template and then they will come back on November 8 to install it. Still no word from the RV repair shop on when the parts for the trailer will be here.
Here is a picture of the blackberries that are almost ripe. They line the road here in the park.
I never did go around Cal Expo and take pictures. Here is one thing I did get a picture of.
This is the decapitated swan next to the dog park.
Porter hurt his foot on Saturday. I tried to get him in to see the vet this morning, but they don't take appointments and the walk in slots were full. I am supposed to call them at 1pm to see if they will see dogs at 2:30. I hope so because the next nearest vet is in Fortuna, which is about an hour away.
Garberville has the most expensive fuel I have seen. it is $5.09. We may not do much site seeing here.
Beer News: I bottled the Maple Bourbon Stout. It will take a long time to condition in the bottles. My first tasting will be in the middle of January, but it may not be ready until February. Some dark beers are like that. I am almost out of beer supplies so I ordered more. They have been delivered to Suzanne's house so when I get back to Sacramento, I will have:
Golden Ale
Bewitched Amber Ale
Northwest Pale Ale
Long Play IPA
Diablo IPA
Oktoberfest Lager
That ought to keep me busy this winter.
We have a 1 month stop in Yuma so I should be able to get 2 batches done.
