Before I get to that, here is today’s alligator picture.
April 1 marked my first year of retirement. One year ago I was sitting in my office at home, trying to avoid doing any last minute work. This year, I am sitting in my living room and have no work to avoid.
April 6 marks the anniversary of when we moved into the trailer. We couldn’t actually go anywhere yet. We had to wait for all the house sale stuff to finalize. We also couldn’t go anywhere because COVID shut down RV parks to short term rentals. You could only stay for a month or more.
I don’t miss all the bills that go with home ownership. They no longer exist for us.
I don’t miss yard work.
I did just exchange working on the house for working on the trailer.
I do like the fact that the view out of our windows changes every week.
I do like exploring new places.
We meet new people at each new place. We sometimes see them again at different parks.
We will probably settle down in a couple of years for at least part of the year. We need a good place to ride out the winter so it will be somewhere south. April through November will still be travel time.
