Hurricane Hanna

Hurricane Hanna hit us today. At least it grazed us.

For most of the day, it looked like we would miss all the rain so we decided to take a drive around Lake Livingston. For those of you who have never been here (which is all of you), there is a Lake Livingston scenic drive. It is scenic, just not of the lake. You see a lot of forest but very little lake. That should be hard to do since the lake is 31 miles long, but that road managed it.

It was mostly a drive in the country with 2 or 3 short views of the lake until we made it to Onalaska. At that point, there were 2 bridges over the lake. It is a huge lake. According to Jan, there are alligators in the lake, but we didn't see any.

On our way back, it started pouring. It is still pouring now. It may stop raining in a couple of hours.
