We have accepted an offer on our house and we are waiting for the home inspection results. After that, we have the appraisal and the buyer needs to have his mortgage set up. If all goes well, we close on April 13. But these are not normal times.
I will still retire on April 1. That's kind of scary because of the way our IRA's dropped in the past couple of weeks. We plan to not touch them for at least a year, maybe two. That will give the market time to rebound.
As far as travelling goes, who knows. We have a reservation at the Shingle Springs KOA for a month. Many thanks to the staff at the KOA for taking our reservation and guaranteeing us a place to park while the Shelter In Place rules still apply. We have no reservations past that. All state and national parks are closed. In some states, private campgrounds are closed to new travelers. That needs to open up before we can start travelling.
