Kerrville, Texas

We have arrived at the Buckhorn Lake Resort in Kerrville, Texas. We will be taking a short break from traveling and staying here until Sunday. This RV Park is better than the last few parks we have stayed at.

I don't really have a lot to say today. We didn't do anything yesterday evening except get diesel ($1.89 a gallon) for the truck and get some tacos from a drive through (Tacos OJ). The tacos and flautas were pretty good, but a little greasy. The flan needed more caramel sauce.

I don't have any pictures from Fort Stockton, except for the trailer view and this one. This is the shade tree we parked next to:

I10 between Fort Stockton and Kerrville is boring. Mostly it's flat with sage brush and a little yucca now and then. When we got further east, we started seeing oil wells in the desert and windmills on the mesas.

Fun fact. There are more spots on the highway were trucks burned up than we have seen in any other state so far. All we can figure is that fire trucks can't get there in time so the trucks just burn to the ground.

The refrigerator is still blowing fuses. I checked after I disconnected power and it still worked. I checked after I hooked up the truck and it still worked. I checked when we stopped at a rest area and it was blown. There must be a wire somewhere the shorts when it gets bumped around while driving. I will see if I can find it tomorrow.
