We have moved to the Lake Okeechobee KOA.
The little white specs in the picture are squashed bugs on the window. I need to clean that.
Our view is not great but the park is better than our view. This is a large and well cared for park. It has a restaurant, bar, and 9 hole golf course. It should keep us busy.
There is a bike trail that goes around Lake Okeechobee. I think it's more than 100 miles long. We will try it with the bikes. Brie may not like it for that long, but we will try.
Beer Update: I just bottled a batch of "Over Inflated Wheel Amber Ale". It's supposed to be a clone of Fat Tire Ale. I hope it turns out. I have 3 batches of beer in bottles waiting to condition: Breakfast Stout (11 bottles), American Lager (6 bottles), Over Inflated Wheel Amber Ale (11 bottles). My keg has the American Lager so I am drinking that before the bottles are ready. It's good, not great. It has a lot of malt taste, but needs more hops to balance it out. I will make a batch of Salty Dawg Gose. That is a sour beer made with grapefruit juice. I made it once before and it was good.
Florida is a craft beer wasteland. Red Bluff has a small craft brewery that was pretty good. Why can't anyone in Florida step up? There were breweries in Port Orange and Port Charlotte, but none that we've found in Central Florida. Orlando may have had some, but we didn't do much running around there. I am keeping my fingers crossed for Tampa.
