Memphis, TN

We are actually staying just over the Tennessee border in Southaven, Mississippi. It's not the best park we have ever stayed at.

It's a small park and as you can see from the picture, it's a little on the run down side. There is no dog yard so Brie hates it. It has what they call a tree lined dog walk. That is a place next to the dumpster (which Brie loves) and under 2 or 3 pine trees. There is no grass, just pine needles and Brie does not like pine needles. Since it doesn't have a fence, she can't run free. That's bad for us since she can't run off energy. She was a terror last night with too much energy.

For us, it is not a great place either. It has 4 or 5 spaces for travelers and all the rest are permanent residents. It is another urban park (we need to learn to avoid those). It is very near the FedEX World Headquarters and it is definitely in the flight path of the airport. 5pm is the evening plane rush hour and 5am is the morning plane rush hour.

Best Place Name update.

I found a new best place name. Sorry Noodle Dome. "Toad Suck Park" and "Toad Suck Harley Davidson". They are both in Conroy, AR. Unfortunately, Toad Suck Park was closed. Jan's favorite town name, so far, is Flower Mound, Texas.

We have finally crossed the Mississippi River. Everything is green. There is a lot of water, humidity, and marshy ground. More pictures later. I have been driving and not taking pictures. The RV parks lately have not been photogenic.

I think we will go site seeing today. We want to hit the river walks and downtown Memphis. Graceland may just be a drive by since neither of us are Elvis fans.

The latest shortage is printer cartridges. We need to print off a form to cancel our voter registration in California but we ran out of black ink. We went to 2 stores and they were out. I looked on Amazon and they have the color cartridge in stock, but the black cartridge will not be in stock until September 17. I guess HP was not ready for the back to school surge.
