With everything going on, I missed writing about Napa.
We didn't do a lot while we were there, mostly because of the storm. On Sunday, the storm of the century hit (that's what they called it in Napa). The rain started on Saturday night and kept up until Monday morning. Napa ended up with over 5 inches of rain. The wind knocked down a lot of trees and it knocked out power. We kept our power, probably because we were right next to a PG&E lot. We heard the trucks going in and out all the time we were there.
There is a big field next to the RV Park and it flooded. It was dry when we got there, but the water got all the way up to the RV road.
The first 2 pictures show the field flooding. The last picture shows the field after they pumped the water out.
Our RV neighbor said that when he came over the Richmond bridge to get to Napa and the wind on the bridge caught his awning and blew it off the trailer. He said it felt like the RV went on 2 wheels for a little bit. I'm glad we weren't driving around with a trailer in that.
It was sunny on Monday afternoon and Tuesday. We did a little walking around then. Here are some pictures.
One night, it was probably during the storm, we heard a loud bang. I went out with a flashlight in the rain and couldn't see anything that might have hit the trailer. With all that's happened since then, we think that was when the leaf spring broke.
