Ocean View, NJ Part 2

We are 54 stops and 18 states into our trip with 25,000 miles on the truck. The 18 states only include the states we parked the trailers in. They don't include the states we just drive through. We drove through Delaware on Monday, but that was only for 30 miles and we didn't stop.

I wish my phone had level lines in the camera app. I could get pictures like this one straighter. New Jersey doesn't have alligators. Up until now, any lake would have alligator and snake warnings. This lake only has fish, frogs, and turtles.

I really expected New Jersey to be more urban, but I guess that is only from Atlantic City up to New York. Where we are is mostly farms, dairies, and small towns. Here at the coast is a more vacation area. Driving here took us through Cowboy Town. That is it's real name, it is not just a tourist trap. They took the name seriously and have rodeos every weekend (in season). Vacation season goes from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The population in Sea Isle (the barrier island just east of us) goes from 2,000 off season to 25,000 in season. I am kind of glad we will miss that.

We thought about going to Atlantic City because we always hear about it, but decided not to. Everything we read about says to skip it. The boardwalk is rundown, boarded up and a high crime area. The casinos are closed. There is no reason to go see it now.

Website Updates:

I added photo pages for Maryland and New Jersey. The Maryland page has the Annapolis pictures. The New Jersey page just has 2 pictures so far. Our Cape May trip should add more.

The Where Are We map is updated completely. We now have reservations from coast to coast. We have a couple of long days in Oregon and California so I will break those trips up, and I need to make the reservation for our stay in Sacramento.
