Perry, GA

Today was a travel day and we are in Perry, Georgia.

We will not be going back to Carolina Landing RV Resort. It was not a resort. You can maybe call it a campground. It was built for small RVs or tents. Large RVs can be destroyed here. The roads are narrow and have trees really close and low. All turns have the the possibility for your rig to hit a tree if you don’t turn as wide as possible. If you do make the corners, there is nothing you can do to protect your roof. Now, let’s talk about the hills. There is a part of the park with only slightly sloped hillls. We did not get that part of the park. When we left this morning, I did not even try to to exit by going forward. I backed up out of the site and up a hill. I needed 4 wheel drive to get out of there.

There cherry on the cake was the sewer connection. It was blocked up. I didn’t noticed until after I tried to dump the toilets. All I did was to fill the hoses with sewer stuff. Bad news for the park, the hoses drained on the ground when I disconnected them. It’s now slightly stinky over there.

The drive was okay. Highway 85 is being repaved all the way to Atlanta. Going south was fine, but going north was a parking lot. We went south.

This park looks nice. We have a lake view. You can see it in the picture. They do not have a dog park for Brie. More news later.
