I am a little late with some of this news. We went to the River Cats season finale last Sunday.
Not very many people showed up. We ran into Sandy Jenkins. We both used to work with her at BSC.
It was fan appreciation day but we didn't get anything but a free T-Shirt.
The River Cats won. They didn't make the playoffs.
No updates on getting the trailer fixed yet. They ordered the replacement parts, but no news on a date for installation. I talked to the insurance company about will happen to my premiums with the work on the trailer and if I submit a claim for the stolen bike. They both go under the comprehensive portion of the policy and so won't raise my premiums. The damage to the other person's car will raise them. Oh well. I guess I can submit a claim for the stolen bike.
We got dates for the countertop. October 28 for them to come and make a template and November 8 for the install. We have to be back here in Sacramento for that.
We have reservations here at Cal Expo until October 17 so we will leave here and go to Garberville and then Napa and then right back here to Cal Expo. We will stay at Cal Expo for the 2 weeks necessary to get the countertop installed.
Since we were doing all those reservations, we decided to start the winter reservations. We will leave Cal Expo and go to Chowchilla and then to Bakersfield. Those 2 stops will be short. Then we go to Las Vegas for 2 weeks. After Vegas, we head to Yuma for the entire month of December. That's all the reservations we have so far.
I need to take my camera out around here and take some pictures. There are some weird things around here like a decapitated swan boat next to the dog park and and giant frog down the street.
I brewed a Bourbon Maple Porter last week. I used the yeast that came with the kit but it didn't act like it was alive. I had to add another bag of yeast to get it to start foaming (and fermenting). It will be ready for bottling next Saturday. I am almost out of beer ingredients so I ordered another set of 5 refills. I will probably need to keep all the yeast packets in the trailer and not outside where the temperature fluctuates too much.
