We've been busy lately so I haven't blogged since Weed.

This park is where we started our adventure. When we got here on Saturday, we had been in 6 cities in 5 days. We went over to Suzanne and Tom's place for dinner. Robin, Loen, and Lauren were there too. It was fun. Tom made great burgers.

On Sunday, we did absolutely nothing. It felt good. We needed it since we have been on the run since Red Bluff and would be busy for the next week.

Monday:

We did all the backed up laundry (4 loads) and all the cleaning that we haven't been able do for the past week.

Update 2: Jan got her Covid booster and Zanny stopped by to see the trailer for the first time. FYI, don't visit the Placerville KOA because they charge you $5 per person just to visit someone in the park.

Tuesday:

First thing was a trip to the dentist for both of us. Jan had clean teeth. I did not. I had one small cavity on the bottom edge of a crown. What fun. Next was the trailer inspection. We had to pack everything up just to take the trailer to the RV shop. We were there for maybe 10 minutes and then we had to go back to the RV Park. So we spent an 30 minutes packing up the trailer and then another 30 minutes unpacking. A lot of fun.

Wednesday:

Another packed day. First was Jan's haircut appointment. That was all the way downtown. Next we went back up the hill to El Dorado Hills for lunch with Suzanne at Selland's. That was fun. We sat outside by the lake and fountains. We had to leave a little early though. I had to go back to the trailer and brush my teeth because I had to go back to the dentist. It turns out the crown is fine so I only needed a little filling.

Thursday:

Since we are back where we started, we started cleaning out the trailer. I took an old, dead printer to the dump. Then we went back to the trailer and started going through everything for stuff we don't really need. We cleaned a lot of stuff from under the trailer and quite a bit from the front of the trailer. I ended up with a whole truck load. I only brought 3 things back to the trailer: the blender, a couple of chairs to replace the ones that came with the trailer, and a small leaf blower.

We got the estimate back from the RV Repair place, $2,200 but we only pay the $375 deductible. We also got estimates back to put a countertop in the pantry and they run from $900 to $1,300.

Friday:

We up and move to the Cal Expo RV Park.

That's a little peek into living in an RV.

Keep coming back to this particular post because I will probably be updating it with things I left out. Like thanking Tom for loaning me a grinder.

Update 1: Here is a coincidence. In Fortuna, when I had the accident, the man in the trailer next to our spot helped out a lot. He calmed down the lady whose car I hit and then helped me get the trailer parked without doing any more damage. He left Fortuna the next day. Guess what? He is in the spot right across the road from us. His name is Clayton and he does underground cable work for PG&E.
