We are back in Shingle Springs for the third time.
Brie knows this place. She dragged me to the dog park and I think it’s her favorite dog park in the world. It is large, grassy, has goats and ducks, and it has toys.
We will only be here for 1 night so I hope she doesn’t get too depressed when we leave tomorrow. We will drop the trailer off at the RV shop to fix the body damage. Robin has offered us her guest house so that‘s where we will be until Wednesday.
Today’s drive wasn’t an easy one. First, this was the first time towing since the truck broke. It did fine so I will be less stressed out next time. Second, there was a dense fog advisory all along Highway 99. Cities and towns were fine, the fog was light but the more farmland around us, the denser the fog got. Third, the truck came up with a new bug. It will all of a sudden start displaying a message about the trailer brake gain. If I didn’t clear the message, it would beep at me and say the trailer brake system needs to be checked. It would do this for 2 or 3 minutes and then stop for a while. It did this twice during the trip. Fourth, it was a long trip, 6 hours. Porter has been hyper since we got here.
