Population: 54,298 Elevation: 121'

We've moved from the lake down to the city.

We are at the same park that we were at when we officially started on the house. They are expanding the RV park so there is some construction going on. They are also building houses behind us too. If it gets too noisy, we will have to go buy noise cancelling headphones.

Here is a left over picture from Lake Livingston. It's from the bridge over Turtle Creek. You can see why it's named Turtle Creek.

House News:

The house is moving along. All the fixes that came up in the pre-drywall walkthrough have been fixed. They sprayed in the insulation and the drywall is piled up in the house, ready to be put up.

Our neighbors have grass and the start of a fence. You can see our property line now. The last picture above is along the rear property line. You can see a big pile of dirt in that last picture. That will be spread out at some point.

Things have sped up too fast for us. Supply chain problems have cleared up and the builder said they could have the house done in January. That's not good for us though. We talked to our sales agent and she said she will slow things down and have it finished in March. That will be better for us. We've already paid for our stay in Yuma and don't want to throw away 3 months of rent.

We will spend this week getting ready for a trip to Cameron Park. We have to get a storage unit, get the oil changed, and do everything else we need for a 10 day, 4,000 mile road trip. We leave next Monday.
