We will finally be leaving Bakersfield.
That was the sunset the other night. Appropriate color for the orange groves.
The truck is fixed and we have it back. I am sure that we will be nervous towing the trailer for a while, especially when we go up the next big hills.
It's a good thing this is a decent RV park. Being stuck in a bad park would probably have driven us crazy. This one has good roads and has decent sized spaces. Brie loves the 3 dog parks. She digs her feet in and tries to pull us in to each one when we walk by. They have a broken wi-fi system. You can connect to their wi-fi, but it does not have any internet connection so it's useless.
We have tried the oranges from the tree next to the trailer and they taste good. I made my very own fresh squeezed OJ by stepping outside and picking the 3 lowest oranges from the tree. We bought some sparkling wine so we can make fresh squeezed mimosas.
Here is the plan for the next couple of weeks. We will stay here until Sunday, Dec 19 when we will drive to the Shingle Springs KOA. We will stay there overnight. On Monday morning, we will drop the trailer off and Stymiest RV Repair where it will stay until Dec 23. While the trailer is in the shop, we will be staying in Robin's guest cottage. For those of you who don't know Robin, she is Suzanne's mother-in-law. When we get the trailer back, we will head for the 49er RV Park in Plymouth for a week. We have no plans after that but we need to hurry up and make some.
Here is a picture of the worst camouflaged cell tower I have ever seen. It is supposed to be a palm tree, but the cell equipment is bigger than the palm fronds.
