We are done with staying in one place and have started moving for the spring.

We will still be in the desert for the next few stops. Tucson is about as deserty as you can get. You can see the cholla (they look like miniature Joshua Trees) in this picture.

There is a tree just off to the right of this picture with this living in it.

According to some people in the park, the owl family has been living in the tree for at least 10 years. Here is the other owl on the nest.


I took these pictures during our morning walk.

It looks like the cacti are starting to bloom. There might be more blooms later this week.


I have updated our spring travel stops on the Where Are We page. If you click on the map and zoom out, look for the green stars. The gold star is where we are now, the gray stars are all our stops for this year, and the black map pins are last year's stops. You can follow the trail of green stars to New Orleans and then up north to Memphis. As soon as we have stops planned past that, I will add them.
