The Oaks at South Point is a Thousand Trails Park, which means it is free to stay at. The price makes it great, otherwise it is a mediocre park.
The scenery is nice, with lots of trees, a couple of lakes, and a few walking trails. It is clean, but the facilities are a little old and somewhat run down. The trailer sites are dirt of gravel, ours is dirt. Our neighbors was dirt, but as soon as they pulled out, the maintenance people dumped a load of gravel and smoothed it out. They will probably do that to our site when we leave.
There are too many trees for satellite but they do have cable. The cable doesn't have a guide channel so we sometimes give up and stream something.
Brie and Porter love the dog park. It is large and shaded. Brie got to play with a couple of beagle puppies which she loved, but Porter hated. They give the dog park 5 stars.
There is a walking path that takes you around 3 lakes and over to the KOA park. We have seen a snake, lots of turtles, lots of squirrels, and more alligators than you would expect. We stopped to look at one small alligator and was talking to a guy about the park. We were talking about the turtles not being afraid of the alligators when we heard a splash. There was actually another alligator that no one noticed because we were focused on the one in front of us. Three humans and two dogs did not notice a medium sized predator 10 feet from us.
I think we will go to Charleston today to do some sightseeing.
