We just went out to dinner, here in Zephyrhills.
This is the Zephyrhills Brewpub. They do make their own beer. I had a flight made up of:
Laz-Y Hez-Y Dayz - Hazy IPA
Sunny side of Z’Hills IPA
This Beer is the Color of Your Energy - Red Ale
Dairy-ccino - Stout
Jan had an It’s A Nice Day For A White Wheating - Wheat Beer
I ended up getting a growler filled with the Red Ale. The food was okay. About par for pub food.
This area of Florida is a definite retirement place. Most of the houses are not houses. Most of them are park model mobile homes. Park models are single wide mobile homes under 400 sq ft. They also must have permanent axels. Most do not have slide outs so they are smaller than our trailer. I don’t know if most of the people are permanent residents or snowbirds. It is a very cheap way to get a winter home.
it also seems that if you retire to Florida, you must get a Kia Soul. There are more here in Florida than we have seen anywhere else. In Oregon, you have to get a Chrysler PT Cruiser.
We haven’t done anything exciting here. The most exciting trip we’ve made was going to Talbots and Costco in Tampa.
My home made beer is almost ready. I gave it an extra week to ferment because it has been cold at night. The beer has been up to 70 for the past couple of days. That’s great for beer. I have my fingers crossed for good beer when I bottle it.
Update:
I have updated the Where Are We page with our latest itinerary. It is not set in stone yet. I am still working on reservations for April. It at least gives you an idea of where we plan to be.
